Goodbye 2018 - Hello 2019

I know everyone is doing this and you're bored. But I have cool pictures so bear with me for a second!

I didn’t accomplish all of my 2018 goals but I had a hell of a year anyway.

I wanted to read 120 books and made it half way. I read a grand total of 60 books. Which isn’t a lot but since undergrad I pretty much stopped reading for fun so it’s a lot. I’m carrying this goal forward for 2019. I also started writing for fun again - something I did not think would come back so easily for me.

If you know me, you know I love watching shows and movies. So this year, on top of all the new shows I watched, I finally watched: Bates Motel, all 10 seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race (honestly why did no one tell me to watch this before?!), and 14 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy in two and a half months .

I finished my post grad in International Development and moved to Jordan to start my career in the development sector. While here I’ve managed to learn a little bit of Arabic, learned to be with myself and reflect on life without getting overwhelmed, and I've seen some extraordinary places.

This year was extremely challenging and inspiring at the same time. I am so thankful for all the lovely, supportive, caring people I've been able to surround myself with and for the growth I've seen in myself. Can't wait to see what this year brings. On that note here are my goals for 2019:

  1. Read 120 books

  2. Walk more

  3. Get in shape

  4. Cook more

  5. Write and journal everyday

  6. Drink more water
