January 2, 2018
Was this year long or what? Some days it felt like we wouldn't be here at all. But we did, and I am so glad that we did.
This year was filled with so much. So much love. Joy. Happiness. Success. And as we all know these things come in twos - there was also sadness. Failure. Anxiety.
A lot happened this year:
March - Theresa and I went with Sam to her first concert (floor seats for Maroon 5) and had a great night out.March - I got to spend a busy 20 hours in New York at the UN HQ, visiting the HQ of "Dream, Girl," and watching a special presentation of "Waitress" on Broadway.
March - My friends and I celebrated our success in completing our undergrads at the Arts Gala.March - UW had a suicide on campus that I covered for Imprint. It was one of the hardest thing's I've ever done and it affected me deeply. I just hope I helped bring some closure to his family.
January - I got a lot of rejections from grad schools - which was very hard for me, but I got through it.February - I celebrated my birthday with lots of people who love and support me, many are pictured here.
Our department celebrated the achievements of students through the English Students Symposium.
I experienced my first Electric Forest. It was one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had and I can't wait to go back one day.
Tanreet and I headed off to New Hampshire for a week! It was a great trip and I am so happy I got to spend this time with her!
I started my internship at Right To Play - and I love it there.
I was able to attend the wedding of someone I've considered a sister for a long time and who's known me since I was very young. She took me to my first high school registration because I did not know any one, she somehow stood me singing along to all the CDs she owned every time I would go to her house, and she was always there when I was an awkward child with no filter.
I used my time off to bond with my classmates and watched tons of movies. I also started going to the gym regularly.
I was fortunate enough to spend my third holiday season with these two.
I watched my first TIFF movie and the college strike happened.
I can't wait to see what 2018 bring!
